    Bed
    The bed is made of close grain cast iron with required hardness and seasoned after rough machining to avoid stresses. Cross ribs of the bed are strongly braced with rigid frame work to maintain the initial accuracy of the lathe for life time. Gap has been provided.
    Head Stock
    Head stock is of cone pulley type. Spindle having through bore is made from special steel and running in a wide designed pair of bronze metal bearings. It is ground precisely, speed reducing gears are of closed grain cast iron. Precision cut teeth and accurate axial mounting gives smooth running.
    Apron
    Self operating system for the saddle. It is double walled, oil bath lubrication all the gears inside are hob-cut. Inter locking system is provided to avoid double engagement.
    Saddle
    The saddle is mounted on V and flat ways of the bed. The carriage has a long bearing on the bed. This carries the cross slide, the compound rest. Square tool post operating screws are fitted with micrometer dials. A dial indicator is provided to facilitate engagement of the lead screw for thread cutting.
    Tail Stock
    It has long bearing on bed ways and can be off set for long taper turning operations. The bore in which quill moves is fine honed. M. T. 4 taper nose of quill allows the use of drill and reamer.
